The Jersey International Motoring Festival Overview

Rubis Channel Islands was pleased to once again be the main sponsor of the Jersey International Motoring Festival.

Following a two-year break due to the coronavirus pandemic, Rubis Channel Islands was pleased to once again be the main sponsor of the Jersey International Motoring Festival.

The event kicked off on Friday 3rd June 2022 at 6:30pm on Victoria Avenue in Jersey Channel Islands, starting with the pre-event motorsport demonstrations and moving onto the main event, being the sprints. The sprints always prove to be an exciting high-octane adrenaline-fueled spectacle.

Unfortunately, the weather on Friday wasn’t great with rain and thunderstorms, however, there was still a great atmosphere and a turnout of roughly 4000 people.

It was lovely to see so many corporate clients as well as colleagues attend our VIP marquee to watch the sprints whilst enjoying some food and drinks.

Moving onto the next day (Saturday 4th June) we relocated to People’s Park/Lower Park in Jersey Channel Islands. This was an all-day event which ran from 9am – 5pm, with a variety of local and visiting trade stands, live music, food & refreshments. The main event of the day was the West Mount hillclimb which ran from 10am – 5pm.

We had a stand open to the public where we could discuss our renewable products such as Rubis RD100, EcoHeat100 etc. We also had our fuel truck down for people to sit in and take pictures, alongside our stocks so children could throw sponges at their parents.

The last day of the event (Sunday 5th June) was similar to Saturday on People’s Park/Lower Park. However, the main event was the active arena around Victoria Park which included, a lot of action-packed fun, from cars doing doughnuts to motorcyclists doing wheelies. Another hillclimb at a different location (Mount Bingham) took place between 10:30am – 2:30pm.

We would like to thank the organising committee for putting on a great event that was enjoyed by all. With the hard work and dedication of the committee and a loyal band of volunteer helpers, The Jersey International Motoring Festival continues to thrive and entertain the crowds each year and we hope will do so for many years to come.
