Covid Update 05 January 2022
In light of the current levels of Covid-19 in the community, we have put procedures in place to help protect our staff and customers against the spread of Coronavirus, whilst ensuring we continue to operate as normal as possible.
We have detailed some changes to our normal service below and will update this as and when guidance changes from the authorities.
Customer Service Team
We are operating with minimal office based staff, so our ability to answers calls is likely to be reduced.
We do recommend, if you can, use our website to order fuel, make payments and find out about our products and services. Alternatively, you can email us on email@example.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Jersey Office: Due to staff shortages our La Collette office is temporarily closed, but we can be contacted as normal via our website forms, email and on the phone
Guernsey Office: Our Bulwer Avenue office remains open to the public, social distancing procedures are in place and wearing a mask is mandatory.
We are now at the peak time of year for heating oil deliveries, our team are prepared and focussed on ensuring our customers’ requirements are met. We recommend, as always, to order in advance, or, alternatively, why not sign up to our Planned Delivery service, where we manage the deliveries for you and you benefit from a 1ppl saving on your fuel price.
On Demand Orders: you can order on our website and via email, as normal. If calls to our office can be avoided, it would be greatly appreciated as it enables our team to focus on urgent calls.
Planned & Timed: are scheduled as normal, there is no impact. However, if your usage patterns have changed, i.e. your heating is now on during the day as you are working from home, please let us know by email and we can revise your next delivery due date.
Our deliveries are now taking place with reinforced health and safety conditions:
- A safety distance of at least 2m (6ft or 3 steps) is to be observed during delivery operations between our teams and our customers
- At the time of delivery, we ask you to open all access routes to the storage tank in order to avoid any contact between our driver and the surfaces of the equipment and infrastructure
- Our drivers are washing their hands thoroughly between each delivery
- Exceptionally, following delivery, with your agreement, our drivers will sign the delivery ticket on your behalf
Renewable & Heating Services
Our engineers and plumbers will be operating to latest Government advice and will be following social distancing guidelines when undertaking servicing and emergency breakdown works. Our engineers will be equipped with the appropriate PPE depending on the situation i.e. face shields/ masks.
Boiler & Cylinder Servicing:
Jersey: Week commencing 3rd Jan we are operating with minimal staff, focussing on emergency breakdowns but should be service as normal in the coming week(s), however, we are running behind on servicing.
Guernsey: All servicing is being booked in as normal, however, we are running slightly behind on servicing.
If you have any concerns with us attending your property, please get in touch and we will advise how we can best assist.
Please do not be concerned about availability of fuel on island. We are always fully prepared for emergencies, and so we, like other fuel distributors, have plenty of stock stored at both La Collette Terminal in Jersey and St Sampson Terminal in Guernsey. We also have excellent relations and a robust supply chain in place with refineries. Both islands are well stocked and there is no need to panic buy.
Card payments can be made via our website in the first instance or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org and request a payment call back. If you do not have online access, please call our office on the number below.
